It's sad that something so simple to fix has been overlooked for this long. It would take at most a couple of minutes to remove the /tag from the generated link URLs, and that's assuming that they are all hard-coded... if they are dynamically generated, one button-click could fix everything. The webmaster needs a kick in the pants or something.
