A request from Santa. So I've been getting a lot of useful feedbacks recently and I have tried doing Lexus' suggestion using a different app for the lines and so far it's looking cleaner compared to my previous line works. Props to Lexus for that! So far I've only tried out the app for about 3 days and it's neat. As always, I welcome feedbacks and you'll probably see more improvements as days go by. I'm trying to vary styles a bit to see what most of the members would like. 'Til next week guys. #Riruka_Dokugamine
We can try that some time to see what kind of feedbacks we get. Only downside to that is if we follow the usual manga look, it's just gonna be black and white of course. We normally aim for full colored pin-ups but we'll see what the admin thinks about that. Suggestions from members are what we always look into. The more suggestions, the more we can consider doing it.
Ellery did a few mock-manga pages that were pretty nice; I'd like to see your take on it. Heck, seeing as how there's two of you now, a mini-doujinshi could be an interesting idea to work on bit by bit over time...
Thanks. I'm definitely working on the faces. I'm trying to vary my style from Lexus' a bit so we can have a bit of variety and identity of the works.
Thanks. Feedbacks helped a lot. And a few suggestions from Lexus, of course. I tried Paint tool Sai a few days ago and I was just amazed how clean my strokes can get which normally would be cumbersome and time consuming if I used Photoshop's pen tool. Not to mention I like doing my lines with sweeps and strokes and not using paths. It definitely made a difference. Honestly, I didn't think of using Sai before. Had no idea the colors would be vector-like. I am so used to Photoshop for painting works I totally ignored how good other softwares can be depending on what you use them for.
Thanks, man. It's not only anime style I do so it normally takes a few tries to get things right. Have been doing semi-realism art a few months back so I only got back to anime art at least a month ago. You can expect more improvements, of course. I like flexibility. Makes me gauge how my craft is improving. Next time. MAYBE, I might go for a manga-ish approach - like an actual manga page.Dunno how that would go with anyone's liking though. We'll see.
I like this a lot better, you're definitely improving fast! It still needs some more work until it's similar to Lexus
You know everyone's gonna ask: What was the app called? And this is a massive improvement.
Well that's certainly fixed the outline discoloration. The shading is better too. Your art has honestly improved a LOT, and quickly too.
