Today marks my 1st year in Bleachpixxx. I look at my old works from time to time to get a sense of how I've improved over time even if they were just incremental improvements. After all, "progress, not perfection". I decided to make a little "remaster" of sorts of my first work here. A year ago I thought I won't be making anymore anime art ever and was going in a more "western" style approach. Then somehow, my entry got votes and Bleachpixxx made me an artist together with the great Lexus. Haha! So I've decided to follow an "eastern" style art since and improve on it little by little. Hopefully, by the next year I've improved exponentially. Thanks for the comments, the hate and the love. It helped. You guys rock! Cheers! I do both depending on the time - I do my own backgrounds when there is time enough to spare. When I'm pressed for time though, and have other work to do, I use some screen grabbed pics like Ellery does and just crop, blur, and edit it.
Big improvements so far Joe! Last two pics have resembled the anime much more. Can't wait to see your work in another year! :)
